I first saw this little guy last summer.I have never seen a bird like him in this area and so this year I was bound I would find out what this little guy is. He is a summer tanager and he has the most beautiful song! He also acts a little strange--lol--by sitting on upstairs window ledges and actually coming right up to the screen on our windows which open out and he sits on our cars' side mirrors all day. But isn't he gorgeous?! I sure hope he has lots of little ones so we always have a few of them around.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! We moved from the city about 7 years ago, and one of our first memories in the new house was of being woken up by thousands of birds (Not!) singing in unison at 4:30 a.m. It was pretty shocking for us city folks. Now we love it, but it took a while to get used to the noise.
