I don't know why I like  this pic as much as I do. I was cleaning out my pictures today of old ones that I'll never process, ones that were not in focus, etc. I hate deleting pix--lol  anyway, I came across this one. It just seems to say end of summer to me. some of the leaves here are already turning yellow. It's been hot and dry lately. This shot seems to affirm that summer is indeed not endless. I know , even though my kids are grown, I still live on "kid time" when school starting meant summer was over , even though weather wise it lasts well into late Sept. here. School starts soon here so maybe I am being nostalgic . So here is my shot for the day.

  1. Very pretty blend of fall colors. I too think seasons in relation to school terms. School starts - summer over. Sadly school starts earlier and earlier each year.

  3. Joanne, I love this photo! Beautiful colors and bokeh. I enjoy looking back at old photos too. I wish I had more time to process them all.

  4. I do like your photo, but Joanne, I am so not ready for Fall! The world seems to conspire against us summer-lovers. Some stores are even showing Halloween items already!

I'd rather think about all the cups of coffee that I can still have in my backyard before it gets cold out.

  5. Oh, I like that one! As soon as I saw it, even before reading your comments about it, I immediately thought, "summer's ending." It's beautiful!
