Phew!

I am so glad this past week is over! Poor Miss Molly was at the vet AGAIN! Poor poor dog has had so many ear infections the past few months. She had growths in her ears and that was stopping the medications from helping her ears improve. So after careful thought, we elected to have surgery to remove the growths. Very expensive surgery I might add. Molly came through the surgery well but had to be watched carefully as she is an old dog and she had to also be careful not to tear out the stitches. She had to wear an E-collar, which she did NOT like at all. It is also a very painful surgery so when she came home she lay and quietly moaned. It was heart wrenching. By Friday her ears seemed to be "seeping" a bit more and by Sunday it was clear she needed to see the vet again. This morning back we went. Yes indeed, infection was starting so we did right by getting her back into the Vet's care. She's home now. Feeling better and hopefully recovering from now on with no problems.


Due to the cost of the surgery, I decided to shave Bella myself. This was not such a great idea. I do shave Molly myself but Miss Bella is not so cooperative! Poor thing looks like a shaved rat. I'm sure if any of the other dogs in the neighborhood saw her she would be doggie laughed at ;)  Anyway here are some shots of Molly in her collar and Bella's new haircut. As you can see if you look closely at Bella she is showing exactly what she thinks of it! Her little tongue is out!
