My dh has taken the next few days off and we were out enjoying our beautiful 80 degree sunny weather. Which means I did not get any new pix taken . I wanted to make sure I showed something so although this is older this is our great room remodel. We tore out carpet and vinyl flooring and did hardwood, tore off the rocks of the old fireplace and replaced it with slate. And yes we did it ourselves! My husband designed and built the mantle also.Thanks for looking!
Impressive! I love the new look, what a transformation. It must be nice to have a handy man in the house huh!? :)
ReplyDeleteI love the re-do! What a great idea! It never occurred to me to feature one of our many remodeling projects for the "Then and Now" theme. Love, love what you did with the room. We also used to have a big rock fireplace and we knocked it down. It seemed to overpower everything in the room. Really enjoyed your post!

ReplyDeleteGreat job on the re-do! Your flooring is beautiful (I'm a sucker for hardwood! lol) and the afters are such a testiment to the amount of work that you put into it (and your DH, too!). So, great job to both of you!
